Default Appears to be running on a BES administered with seperate database

Please Login to Remove!

I was thrown into a project of moving some of our international users from their current server (SERVER1) to our main server (SERVER2).

After much playing around, I was finally able to move 1 of 8 people successfully over to SERVER2.

When I try and have the other users activate I get the following error message in event viewer:

User [email address] appears to be running on a BES administered with seperate database. Other database user id = xx, our database user id = xxx. When this problem is addressed please reload the user.

I have had the user wipe their phone and then tried re-adding them, and this has not corrected the issue.

I am looking for any suggestions. I cannot verify the device was in fact successfully wiped as we are on opposite sides of the planet currently.

Thank you in advance and please let me know if any additional information would be helpful.

Problem is that you have two different sql configuration databases. User is activated on a BES that connects to db A (it is written in user's mailbox) and now you want to activate it on db B and another BES server.
Solution:
Remove user from old BES and delete bb info from user mailbox when prompted.
Then add him to new bes and activate it on new BES.

Thanks. Here is the issue. The user was removed from SERVER1 but not by me. I don't know how it was done. The BES server has also been removed from SERVER1.

Are you sure the user performed a Security Wipe? That's all you need to do to add the user properly to another BES.

I have asked someone else at the location to try wiping the phone. Hopefully this will correct the issue.

Thank you for your feedback.

If anyone has any specific 'gotchas' or 'watch out for' let me know.

Thanks!

wipping is a MUST even when you don't have a problem. I would also remove his user account from new BES and clear all (old and new) bb information from his mailbox when prompted. Otherwise there might be some leftover referances in his mailbox about old server UID. Wait until user acct. dissapear from User pending delete tab and then simply re-add him back. Wipe and activate. Should work.

As a follow up - the user wiped his handheld again and that solved the problem. Lesson learned - never trust the user!
