Wirelessly posted (Sex Machine)

I was wondering if it would be possible to use IT policies to disable the camera based on the location of the BB using the GPS for location information?

Thanks in advance!

No, that's not possible.
Interesting idea though.

Would it be possible to automate it? Have a query running on the GPS coordinates, and then change the IT policy if it is within a certain range? Nothing from the BES itself, but a seperate program perhaps.

For instance, disable the camera when no GPS location is received from the device. (in a building or on the phone as an example). Then when GPS is reacquired, change the policy so that the camera is active again.

I would have thought a script to lookup the BES database combined with the BESUserAdmin tool would be possible.

The script would monitor the GPS values for a particular user and monitor it for specific locations. When the user moves within the location the script triggers a BESUserAdmin command to change the IT policy to a preset policy which disables/enables the camera

Yeah, great. So I'm home taking pictures of my kids, and the BES disables the camera

Location based anything is not reliable enough to make intelligent decisions.

Could be better than the policy I have...it completely disables the camera.
