So, how much do we think the 8700 will retail for?
My problem is I already have a 7100t and an account (actually it is a compnay account but I own the 7100) so I guess I won't get any discount - you know the typical get it for a lot less if you are a new customer deal.

I'll start the price guessing at $499 USD

I do not think the full retail price will be that high. I would guess around $349. At least that is what I paid for my 7250.

I think the best thing to do is wait a month or two and buy one off eBay, thats what I did with my 7100g and I got it for $300 when Cingular wanted $400 and mine came unlocked.

That is where I got my 7100t from. Works great. Never had the audio problems, cutting out problems or volume problems like others have had.

I think I'd have to wait a bit longer than a month or two though, don't oyu think?

So my guess at $499 might be high but then again RIM have got to be seeing all the hype around this thing and they gotta make hay while the sun shines so, what does everyone else think?

No full keyboard, but it's one of 3 rogers phones that will work with mobiletv. That's the only reason I am really getting it. Plus... it's only costing me $29 thanks to HUP, and I have a dealer demo line as well, so my service and data are pretty much free.
