Default anyone using an Aliph Jawbone with their BB ?

Please Login to Remove!

thinking about getting a new bt headset, i saw the jawbone get some excellent reviews over at cnet. it's got some pretty cool technology.

but i couldn't find any info on how well it works with blackberry bluetooth radio and reliability/sound/etc....

if anyone uses one with thier bb, i'd appreciate your comments on that headset...

thanks.

type "jawbone" in search, you will get lots of info on it instead of waiting for people to respond, you can get lots of info that is ready to read and explore:

I have one it's worth the money the carge lasts almost an entire week if you turn it off when not using it

and the noise filter is worth it

after you caonnte a call hit tha back button to turn the filter on peole can understand you. heck i work in a construction truck yard. i somtimes have to make or take calls while all the trucks are starting.

Also it works verry well with blackberries ive used it with my 8700g and my curent 8800. no problems.

PIN me if you want
it also works with the 8800's voice dialing too.

im thinking about getting it because i use bt when i drive. sometimes when calls come in i have to shut all my windows, and drop the volume on my stereo. it's an entire routine, by the time i'm done doing that phone's already rang about 3-4 times....

on the receiving end, how do voices sound on it ?

lastly, i like how my current plantronics discovery 640's eartip fits right into my ear canal. along with the earhook, it makes a pretty good seal....how about the jawbone, does it's eartip fit into the ear canal ?

when you press the main button to make/take a call as soon as you conect you have to press the back buttion to engage the noise filter.

aslong as it's not too windy your good i use it when riding my bike as well.
receving quality is exelent no static or anything. i can hear peole on the other line clear as a bell unless ther phone really sux but thats a given.

custom ear buds?
oh yeah it comes with 4-5 of them and 4 ear clips so you can wer it on either ear ect.

to pair it once you don charging up the battery you set your device in pairing modd an on the jabon wile it's trurn off hold down the nois filter button the led wil flash red and blue whane your phon finds th jawbon enthet the key 0000 on your phone. to turn it on/off hold down the talk button for 2-3seconds.

trust me this things worth the money you pay for it

I use one with my 8703e. Works great. Better than the Plantronics 510 or Jabra 600 I used previously. A little pricey, but worth the money.

Hey fellow Spartan!

I use one with both my Curve and Pearl. Luv it. At first it sounded a little tinney but I have gotten use to it and I am told it sounds great on the other end. I previously had the Plantronics 655 but was told by my wife that it sounded horrible on the other end. Like Spartan said a little pricey, but well worth it.

Hey its a Spartan convention! Gadgetjunkies is dead on...it sounds a little tinney at first, but you get used to it. It sounds very good on the other end and the noise canceling feature is great. When I first got mine I had to test it with everyone I called...first talking in the car with the radio off or down, then crank it up...they could not barely tell the difference. Pretty cool.

I have the Blackberry version of the Plantronics 655. I have been considering this one; I guess I may have to take the plunge!

Actually according to Introducing the brand new Jawbone Bluetooth headset (FAQ #17) the "Noise Shield" is already on by default when you turn it on or answer a call.

You hit the back button to turn the Noise Shield off.

another question about this headset is....how does it behave when it's connected ? i.e....if the phone and the headset are paired, and the phone is taken out of range of the headset, does the headset disconnect/shut off ? when brought back into range, does it reconnect automatically ?
