Thanks AK, will post some results. Perhaps network drop notices and slacker headphone issues will be resolved.

I think I'm addicted...I've been checking every couple of hours to see if there was a new beta....so of course I'm down loading now.

All loaded up. Had to manually restore CODs for Weatherbug Elite, CaptureIt, Bolt, Fancy Characters, BBTran and BeJoose via BBSAK. Slacker radio issue is fixed. Will watch for network drops. So far seems a little snappier than .280

Thank you. I am a bit behind you. Hopefully I will have positive feedback as well.

I'm downloading now as well. Hope it fixes the jitteryness of the messages list when I'd scroll up or down.

Browser does seem to be working very nicely. Still a limited selection of ring tones. Signal strength seems steady.

Ditto on browser. The app seems to respond better in the wifi environment. I will have to test the non wifi.

I actually figured out that this issue was not due to the old .280 OS - it was due to having BBM messages show up in my Messages app. As soon as I turned that off, the Messages app scrolls very well (and now BBM scrolls very poor).

FYI: This OS doesn't have or support blackberry maps. RIM wont let you download it from http://blackberry.com/blackberrymaps/

Any work-around suggestions are appreciated. I often find myself deep in the Maine woods and Blackberry Maps is one of a few apps that can find my exact LAT/LONG for use with paper maps.

I use Google Maps for all of my mapping needs. In fact, I remove BlackBerry Maps ;)

I have that one too, but the closest it can get is 30 Meters. BB Maps can lock me to a few feet.

Installing the new version now. We'll see what happens!

UPDATE.

Install complete. Seemed pretty seemless. First impressions are smoother scrolling in the browser and voice commands seem to work now. New wallpapers as well. BlackBerry Messenger seems to work again too. So far, so good.

Did you go from .280 to .333? I saw no new wallpapers in this transition.
