Default Migration path from 9630

Please Login to Remove!

My wife and I both have unlocked 9630's. We just transferred over to Tmobile from ATT, and a few months ago upgraded our account from 1000 minutes to unlimited call's and txt's.

We both love the 9630's, I just got a Q10 for my new job and even though it has data service I must say that I prefer my 9630 over the Q10 any day of the week.

In fact what I would really like is to be able to use my 9630, and for it to have the data/browser functionality that the Q10 does. When our 9630's connect to the Tmobile network the defer to "edge" technology.

I look to the forum members to help me figure out a migration path for my wife and I. We like the 9630, and we don't want to move to Q10's ..... so what blackberry could we move to that would use the latest technology on the Tmobile network?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, having never used a Tour, I would probably go with a 9900, or maybe a 9380 (Curve), 9810 (Torch), or 9860 (Torch) if you wanted to go for the touchscreen.

If you need/enjoy a keyboard then go with the 9900 (Bold) or the 9790 (Cheaper Bold). If you wish to keep costs down then you can go for an entry level Curve like the 9320 or 9360.

I went form the Tour to the Bold 9650, all on Sprint, and it's almost the identical device. The Bold 9650 adds the trackpad instead of the Tour's problematic trackball. Whatever the GSM equivalent is for the 9650, that's the logical step IMHO. Would that be the 9700? Maybe the 9780?

The 9900 is the way I'd go, however. That was the pinnacle of achievement for BlackBerry in the pre-BB10 era. It's a little bigger than the previous generation of devices but it adds way more capability.
