Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8820/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

OK...I know something about this has been posted before, but I can,t find it. Approximately 80% of the time after I check a new email, the unread email message continues to stay on my home screen. When I turn the Blackberry off and turn it back on, it disappears, but that is very annoying considering I get about 30 emails a day. I'm using the Today Theme on an 8820. Thanks.

When you 'turn it off', are you just pressing the power button? Or are you doing a reset? If you're just pressing the power button, then try pressing Alt+Cap+Del or pulling the battery out for a few seconds and see if it continues to happen.

Why don't you try changing your theme and test to see if the issue still exists? It might be tied to the theme.

I've done the battery pull and it erases the "Unread Email" message, but it still comes back. It didn't cure my problem. It could be Theme related, but are there other themes that are similar to the Today Theme that I could try? I really like having my Calendar, Messages, and Call Log on my home screen.
Thanks again.
