I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about having my new Bold! Just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be browsing around here instead of the Curve forums.

Not really a "huge" difference to me, but definately worth the $300 bills I dropped to get it.

Obviously, the screen resolution and the keyboard are the 2 biggest differences. The trackball, I've noticed, sits a little farther into the device which makes it a little harder to use compared to the curve.

All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I've been so impatient having to wait for my tax return to get in. I've done nothing but play around on it all day, untill I had to go to work at 4. I even got in trouble by the wife for not doing anything around the house or with the kids all day today.

Does that make me bad? HaHa!

The size is also a big difference I Love my bold's feeling in my hand. It's ... Just... SOO MASCULINE! The Curve in my hand now feels like when I had the pearl. I love the bold. It's DA BOMB!

LOL @ bringing back "da bomb".

But welcome; I, too, am a new user. And I can say, this is the best phone I've ever had. One thing I appreciate is the micro-USB port and the 3.5mm headphone jack. It makes it easier to use standard ports so we can use any cord we may have (Blackberry isn't trying to make money by selling their own unique charger or headset).

I'm just paranoid about the trackball - afraid that it may break someday.

@kevintech ... the nice thing is that if for some reason the pearl ball will break, it's easily removable by popping up that silver ring around it, and taking it out. If you notice that you scroll and it doesn't go in some direction, pop it out and clean it. I haven't really heard of them mechanically breaking though.

Welcome to the Bold club, guys . Hope you have tons of fun with it!

You actually have to take the entire phone apart to get to the trackball to pop it out.

Yes on the Bold, the phone whole must be taken apart. Now once you get it apart theres a clasp that holds the trackball in place that can be popped off with a tiny flathead and than just lift your trackball out with tweezers.

You like it better than the Curve? I bid on a Bold and am hoping I like it if I win. I think the speed would be the biggest factor

Yes, I like my Bold better than the Curve. Typing is much easier, the screen is bigger and 100 times better, everything you do on it is so much faster and its 3G.

I loved my Curve. It was easily the 2nd greatest phone I've owned. I'm sure, if you win the auction, that you will love it as well.
