This is really V4.2.1.8 -b17. Tmobile incorrectly labeled it as V4.2.1.17b. This version has been available on blackberry.com for a couple weeks.

Now, if we can only get a new version of the OS!!!

What is the DST (Daylight Savings Time) patch that T-Mobil's website references with regard to the new DM software?

Angry Software version 4.2 problem Help?

When I upgraded to 4.2, i lost the ability to use my BB as a laptop modem, uninstalled 4.2, reinstalled 4.1 and the laptop functionality returned. (with 4.2 installed Windows XP would not recognize the BB as a modem)
Has anyone else had this happen?
Is there a workaround to us the BB as a tethered laptop modem with 4.2?

I think I just saw in the releease notes that you have to try to reinstall the software and select repair. This will restore the virtual serial port.
