Exclamation Kensington Bluetooth USB Adapter 2.0

Please Login to Remove!

So I have the Kensington Bluetooth USB Adapter 2.0 and the Blackberry 8700. Sadly, my $6500 computer from Dell, the 710 H2C XPS does NOT come with built in Bluetooth, so I went and bought an adapter so that I could synch my blackberry wirelessly from my desktop. The problem is that Desktop Manager WONT detect the bluetooth adapter but the adapter is brand new (bought it today), the computer DOES detect the adapter, and my computer DOES detect the Blackberry 8700. All I need to do is get the Desktop Manager to detect the USB adapter! It's only giving me the options of <None>
USB
Com1
Com5
Com6

Which of course none work. What do I do?!

I may be WAY off base here, but can't you just connect them through USB? That's how I do mine?

The point of Bluetooth is so you can synch your blackberry wirelessly. Wires=1990.

Thumbs up device manager

Did you run the blackberry device manager before running the desktop manager?
On my albeit cheaper system I had to run the BB Device Manager before my bluetooth would be recognized by the BB Desktop Manager

Read the knowledgebase article from RIM on BT sync (it might also be covered at blackberryfaq.com but I haven't personally verified this). You have to use the Microsoft driver for one thing...
