Default Calendar width to show both subject & location

Please Login to Remove!

I'm working on creating my first theme and I was wondering how do I extend the calendar width to show both the subject & location. I changed the font and size and still get the same result. I'm using the Blackberry Theme Studio. Thanks!

I am having the exact same experience... I think.

Here is what I see:

Here is what I expect to see (and what I saw on the Bold 9000):

Notice the wasted space to the right of the calendar entries in the first example? Frustrating. I'm afraid there won't be a fix for this, but I'm subscribing to this thread just in case I'm wrong.

Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath. As I recall, the 9000 had this issue at first. I don't remember if it was an OS update or a Theme Builder update that fixed it.

Anyone has a solution for this? it is driving crazy with the location info of a meeting taking all the room and the subject of the meeting is truncated.

Wow, cant believe this went this long with no answer!!! Honestly though, the fix to it makes little sense when looking at the problem... It all boils down to the image being used for the focus in the today area & making sure that the box for the today information is wide enough.

I made a custom caret.png file that was 480x28, 480 for screen width, and 28 to make sure the spacing between each line was correct.

Here's a picture describing where you should set a new focus image file if you're having trouble with it, let me know if it works for you!

New to this... changing the caret.png to say 480x20 will reduce the line spacing

right?

but how do you change the meeting subject and location width with the carat png file?

If you haven't done so already, goto the top of the screen where you see "reposition home screen items" and make the box for the today area as wide as you can.

Other then that, those today items work just fine for me in the themes I have made.

so i followed your directions and made the carat as wide as i can and also the made the box as wide (now spans the whole screen).

There is more information about the location of the meeting but not the subject. The meeting location field (column) got very wide so i can see the complete address but the meeting subject it still cropped

e.g

8:30 am Lunch wi... Hilton Hotel lobby

what i'd like to show

8:30 am Lunch with Tom Hilton Hotel ...

HaTaX, you're saying that your themes come out like the second image in my post above? I have tried some of your themes only to find out that they don't. There is still no fix for this issue as far as I can tell.

Got it, didn't realize that the subject field was being treated differently then the location field. And yup, mine does it as well on the full today text listing as well as the versions that have the today icons on the screen.

There's so many bugs in theme builder 5.0 it's hard to keep them all straight..

Sorry about the false lunge towards hope on that one!
