FWIW (probably nothing), a sales rep in a TMO store told me today that once they have it in the store, around mid-April he thought, they would be offering upgrade pricing to qualifying customers.
Ya, that's something that TMO has been doing for a while because too many people have complained that existing customers routinely get screwed when new products roll out.

So he was speaking in definite terms for his particular store? NICE.
Upgrade program status or not, I've not once been denied a brand new phone with TMo on its 1st day of release as an existing customer, so long as I pay whatever the price is.
I'm planning on getting the 8700 from T-Mobile, and this will be the first time I've ever had a plan with them. What do you think is going to be the quickest way for me to get my new BB? Will it be to go to a T-mobile store, or go through a T-mobile business sales rep. I own my own small business, so it will be a business account. I'm just a very impatient person, so I'm just looking to see which way I can get it the soonest. I realize that we're probably only talking about a difference of a few days. I'm just trying to find out if anyone has experience with going through a sales rep vs buying it at the store. My thinking is that the sales rep will probably have access to them before the stores.
