Is there any way to get these "standard" messages forwarded?

Thanks

Is there a tip for "Messages" which would only show you unopened e-mails or sms's?

An telephone handset icon (or something!) should appear near the email indicator icon with a number indicating the number of messages waiting.

If you don't see that and you're using a non standard theme, it may not be supported by the theme.

The Wave theme I am using was downloaded from RIM and I have tried all the other themes. I still can't get the number to display next to the icon.
