Default MMS deleted and blocked MMS and SMS Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

I have just upgraded from 4.6.1.130 directly to 5.0.0.411.
After installation process completed, I noticed that all MMS message were gone, deleted.
Also, I cannot recei SMS and MMS from some Contacts in my Address Book. Seems those contacts are blocked or something like that.
When synchronizing using DM 5.0.1.28, cannot sync Address Book. Simply got error message Intellisync Conector specific error, and does nothing.
Does anyone knows about those issues???
Tnx

I can't hold off any longer. I'm going to give it a try today. I'll report back on my UMA experience.

Installed the beta and have been using for an hour or so. Everything seems stable. Here are my initial thoughts.
- UMA works great. I've only made one call, but no drops, no distortion. I thought it was clearer than before, but that might be in my head.
- Install was smooth. No problems, but I didn't try to let Loader reinstall my 3rd-party applications.
- Threaded SMS is sweet! I'm getting delivery confirms too.
- Keyboard shortcut for 'Profiles' is gone.
- Got TMO visual voicemail up and running in no time.
- For incoming calls, vibration cycles are quicker so the phone has a chance to ring audibly 3 times instead of 2 -- fewer missed calls for me.
- I've installed the following programs so far. They all work:
- Google maps
- UberTwitter
- Gmail

That's all for now.

So how is the UMA experience with 5.0.0.411 thus far? I'd love to get onto OS 5, but much like you can't lose UMA and am tired of upgrading just to downgrade my OS.

I only made about 15-30 minutes of calls over UMA yesterday, but so far so good. UMA sound quality was at least as good as with OS 4.6 and I haven't experienced any drops.

Not sure if this is related, but here is a link to a post from me re: not being able to receive any e-mails today.

Just installed .411 and everything seems to be fine - except my red LED is constantly flashing for no reason. I have pulled the battery and deleted any programs that might be using the LED (BigTinCan's BuzzMe was a prime suspect), but it's still doing it. Any ideas?

I'd check your profiles and see if anything (or other programs) is set up to make the LED blink. I had that issue once and it was Gmail.

Thanks! I'm actually not sure what it was; I just went through everything in the Normal profile and at some point the LED stopped blinking.

Good thing, too - I was starting to go a little crazy...

Further impressions:

1. If anything, battery life is better on my T-Mobile 8900 than it was with .348.

2. UMA calls are definitely still distorted, but not so much so that I can't use UMA.

3. I'm still seeing some odd freeze/reset behavior. Seems random. Also, upon reset, I quite often have the timer icon for several minutes, during which the device is very laggy.

If anyone is having SMS issues (well not tonite as RIM is experiencing issues AGAIN), but if you on a normal day are having SMS issues with the 5.0 releases and you are on T-Mo then what you have to do is remove any security on your phone like SIM card pin numbers when you first turn on the cell or anything like security on first boot of the cell.

SMS is looking for some sort of authentication to be able to send messages and thats why. Was explained somewhere b4 I saw and this worked and made the fix for me...

I"ve noticed that this version results in some odd hiccups, to be expected with a beta. When the phone boots up from a battery pull, for example, I get an error that a the phone module has crashed. But tapping the phone button seems to be fine...

Another thing I've noticed on all the 5.x betas, including this one, is that after a battery pull or reset, I have the timer icon on screen, slowly on and off, for 2 or 3 minutes. While this is happening, the 8900 is very laggy, but still functional.

Not sure this is a problem with the beta because I haven't tried it with any other OS, but I noticed that when I have headphones plugged in and get a call, the alert is audible from the headset rather than through the headphones. I get e-mail and SMS alerts through the headphones, so something doesn't seem right.

Here's something else I noticed today: After a reboot, I still have several minutes of laggy behavior, while the timer icon goes on and off. What I hadn't noticed before is that while this is happening, I also have "Group Calendar" in my "Switch Application" list. If I select it, nothing happens. When the lag and time icon go away, the "Group Calendar" icon does too. I don't understand what's going on.

FYI, there is an official 5.0 release out, but I'm not trying it because the UMA on this beta works so well for me.
