Have you let it run down below 20% more than a few times? lithium batteries do not like to get below 20% on a regular basis and doing so may cause damage to the battery (and the device itself) and to cause it to fail.

Have you tried a new OEM battery, not a cheap eBay knock off?

I made the mistake of letting my battery run down on the BES BB, 5 or 6 times and today it went from 80% to zero in about 10 minutes. I did have a new replacement battery and the cause is due to using a company App that drains the battery quick. I will just have to be more careful but it does definitely cause problems for the battery life when they drain to less than 20%..

Better just get a new battery. Problems will get progressively worse.

They seem to work better if you get it topped up when you are near a power source. And I agree with Ira above, you might be better off to just get a new battery now. If so, do not get a cheap eBay knock off. Get on OEM one for your specific BB.

This was happening to me too. I have two batteries and there was no discernible difference between the behavior of the two. I updated to 6.0.0.706 but haven't got the battery down far enough to see if that will solve the problem.

I'll post if I get brave enough to let the batter run down.
