No worries...it's a very slow day here in NYC with all the snow, so I don't have much more to do at work than test new OS leaks.

I just hope that leaving out the standby option is not what we have to look forward to from all future releases.

After reading some blogs it looks like it will be.

"The standby button is integrated with the lock button on the left. This is by design and not a bug.
The top right button is used as a mute button in your media player."

My thing is if I want to lock my blackberry with the top left, all it did was lock the keyboard using version .484. Didn't password lock it, just locked the keys. I liked the option we have with .419.
I'll stay with .419 till then.

I have read on other sites that the battery seems better. Some users complain about random restarts but that is among a small group. The browser is supposed to be snappier.

If they change the lock button to just the keyboard lock, then they should reinstitute the full password lock with the "K" key, but that didn't work in .530 either.

I don't mind them moving functions around, but I don't like it when they take them away almost completely.

I agree with that. I like to keep my blackberry secured.
And yes, I already have it auto-lock after a few minutes for the same reason.
Did you try holding the "A" key btw?
In version .419 you can hold "A" and locks, hitting "K" locks too.

In .530, holding 'A' does indeed lock it. 'K' does not.

On another note, getting a meeting request in .530 comes in as a normal email, which I cannot accept/reject. .484 did the same thing. In .419 it comes in as a meeting request which can be dealt with. That's a deal-breaker for me.

Another mirror. Put it in my dropbox so you don't have to deal with the dreadful megaupload site.

The file is split into 3 parts due to dropbox' 50MB file size limitation. I split them using 7zip which you is free (Download). 7zip will reassemble the whole archive for you automatically when you extract the first file.

Scratch that. I'm a moron.

When my BB activated on my BES, for some reason, my Calendar was not set to wirelessly sync. Once I set that properly, it does allow me to accept/reject/etc. meeting requests.

So...since it seems the standby/lock buttons are correct, and the meeting request issue was my fault, I'm going to give .530 a try for the rest of the weekend. Hopefully the battery life is better than .419. Will report back after i give it some time...

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

It seems a bit more stable than .484. I had to do a manual restore because of the recurring issue with the BBM groups. The screen still turns black or dims out at times which I saw in .419. The restart issue seems to occure with users who place their devices in holsters. In general, I am glad I did the upgrade. My browser is snappier

Reboots when put into a holster. Yikes. Pass for me, I always use a holster.

Damn, just placed mine into my OB, and it rebooted. UGH! I'll just have to pocket it until a newer version comes out.

I'm going to have to go back to .484. Read text msg appear on my screen, weathereye keeps resetting, and double calendar posts are appearing, even after I choose which calendar to display.

I've found 530 to be very stable.

I'm surprised no one has posted about the BES mailbox FINALLY being separated out from the Messages mailbox. This is great but was a LONG time coming! Big thumbs up.

On the downside, the browser seem to load pages faster, but seems pretty sketchy in terms of link clicking. Really sketchy in fact. Lots of clicks on links seem to go unrecognized.

Also, my BB seems to have gone through an entire battery today despite very light use. That's a concern.

Otherwise, things seems very stable and very, very fast for me.

Apparently I didn't use a holster all weekend, but did notice that it was rebooting when I put it into the holster several times this morning. I use the holster during working day, and pants most of the other time.

Back to .484 for me.

I found this to be an option on .419. Messages Folder>Options>Inbox Settings

You are referring to something different.

In .419 you could choose which accounts did or did not show up in the Messages folder.

In .530 there is now a Messages folder, a SEPARATE BES folder, and separate BIS folders.

In other words, BES has its own discrete folder for the first time (it didn't in .419).
