Try a battery pull. Pull the battery, wait 10 seconds, replace the battery and it should be gone.

Yes. A battery pull will do the trick. That has been happening to me the last couple of days. I'm on tmobile. Not sure if it's a carrier issue.

It's just a bug in BBMessenger. Happens every now and again. Also, sometimes the flashing LED doesn't go out even though I've read the message in BBMessenger. Minor annoyance.

The bug you guys are all experiencing is related to receiving a message while still having the conversation open on your screen. That's why I immediately close BB Messenger after I send each message. It's a pain, I agree. you also can't help it sometimes if the other party sends you a message while in the middle of typing to them.

You guys are correct in suggesting a battery pull to get rid of the LED indicator and icon on your Home screen, but in order to avoid having to wait for the phone to reboot (which I still don't understand why it has to be anything over 10 seconds, especially for an on-demand business device!) you can just wait for the other person you were messaging to send you another message WITH BB MESSENGER CLOSED!!!

If the conversation is over, send something stupid that would cause them to want to respond. You're problem is gone and no productivity lost due to phone downtime.

I don't suggest a battery pull for the LED continuing to flash. Many times that's the only way to get rid of the BBMessenger icon on the home screen when it won't go away.

what i do is, i have myself added on my list, i just shoot myself a message, then read it and make sure its read completely by scrolling to the reply bar and the LED & notification goes away. try it! it works for me (8300) & my gf (8700c).
