VZ replaced my 9650, which was running 5.0 OS.

I backed up my old 9650, restored it onto my new 9650.

Everything was there, a few here and there setup stuff I had to correct, mainly due to the differences in the OSs.

As of monday night, all my contact info was on my phone, accessible, everything was fine.

This morning, as I'm driving down the road, I go to make a phone call..and I have NO contact data.

Looking at my phone log, it shows name entries from calls the past few days, so I KNOW it had to be there...and I had made calls by getting a contact, then dialing.

So I restored from the same backup I had used when I swapped devices..no luck..still no contacts.

Are my contacts missing, or did I change something inadvertently that has my BB not looking in the same place for my contacts?

I also tried backing up and restoring from a new backup I did, after the issue started, no luck.

Any suggestions/ideas...or have I lost 4 years worth of contact data..

Make sure you don't have a filter set in Contacts. Also make sure you're using the same default email and contacts list as you were before swapping devices.

It looks like this is more a problem on my company's BES side of things...large number of us lost the ability to send email on Tuesday morning, and, our contacts lists "disappeared"...
