I don't buy it either. This is what happened to me when i bought the Q the day it was released. I really think they process the orders Monday morning in some way that is definitely not first come first serve. Like many of you, I was constantly hitting the refresh page on my browser Saturday night at 10:30 until it came up and was available. I know for sure that I was one of the first people to place an order.

i would call again i got my tracking number around 2:00 pm EST and orded sunday at 8:00am,

i upped to pm overnight shipping because i get rid of my Q tomorrow. so it works out smoothly
i think if u request overnight shipping your order gets priority in the 'processing' process.

Finally had a chance to call CS at 800-711-7773. They said my order was out of Pittsburgh and I had to call internet orders at 866-338-7390. Spoke with a very nice woman who looked up my orders and found that the order i placed first on Saturday evening had not been processed yet, and the order i placed second that same night, approximately, 15 minutes after my first order was processed today at 5 pm and already sent to fedex for 2 day shipping. She then processed the order that was yet to be sent through and put it for overnight shipping due here on Wednesday. Weird stuff!!

I would like to Thank Verizon for coming out with the device in a timely fashion. My 30 day Cingular trial ends on the 21st. So, I should be ok. I have a Verizon phone contract with another year and a quarter still to go. Since my Company has a national contract with Verizon we can upgrade early for a voice and Data plan. I will get the 8700 for $122 and change and it set for overnight delivery. I used my company's Verizon rep. to take care of everthing. I ordered this morning.

Everyone was so happy with Verizon when it came out and now they are the devil when they cant get it to you on the same day. Everyone will have it by the end of the week. I get ti tomorrow morning!

i guess the orders that have shipped were automatically processed via computer.. for some reason mine has gone for manual processing, and they are working on orders from the 15th...

i now know why these are referred to as Crackberries...ever since i heard they were releasing the 8703e on Verizon, i've been hitting refresh on this thread...now even knowing that my order has been processed and I should get it on Wednesday i continue to monitor this thread...anxiously waiting to get rid of my Q and get my first fix...i'm addicted and i never even used a Blackberry...

I think it's not a matter of manual processing. The West Coast internet sales dept is backed up. So, while the East Coast guys are getting their phone shipped right away, we in the West Coast have to wait for this 2 or 3 day backlog.
I actually had to go on a business this Wednesday. So, what I did was cancel the internet order and called Tele Sales and order the phone there instead. It took me about half and hour and the tele sales operator wasn't very familiar with Blackberries plan options. But I did get the order and it is being shipped overnight today.
So, if you cannot wait the extra 2 days or so, call Tele Sales and order it from a live operator.

called CS for internet sales, and they said my order was coming from pittsburg and that it wasn't processed yet, the internet sales guy said that was weird. He then gave me the number to pittsburg and I called however their office was closed for the day, I knew I should have called early in the morning, thats what I get for giving VZW benefit of the doubt.

I know. However, if i were you, I'd call that number in Pitt tomorrow morning at 8 am. They can process it then, ship it out tomorrow overnight and you'll get it by Wednesday morning. Not a big deal.

Got the same thing. I called the Pittsburg number (877) 873-9056 and spoke to a guy named Mark, He said that my order was in process, and he also added that it could mean that it's being shipped or already shipped as it is, or still being processed for approval on the charges. He said that if anything it would be shipped and be at my doorsetp on Wednesday, but no further details. I asked him if he can get more info, but like everyone else, i got the same "can't get more info" yet. So i hope this is true, this is all verbatim what the guy said, so ill cross my fingers and be on the lookout on Wednesday!
