Exclamation Difference between 7290 PRO and ENT

Please Login to Remove!

Last week I had to activate 3 new BB accounts (BES connected) on 7290 devices within Germany for D1 (T-Mobile). Unfortunatelly I couldnt't get them activated as 2 of them stopped at 'gprs' connection with a msg "Data connection refused". It was for sure not the SIM card as they work in other devices. Having a closer look at the devices I found out that there is no browser icon available and the ones which don't work are labled '7290 PRO' and the ones working are labled '7290 ENT'.
I couldnt find any info in this forum nor at BB directly or anywhere else in the Web.
Does someone have information what those abbr. mean and if my conclusion is right? But why?

The PRO and ENT notifications are denoted by the service offering from your mobile provider. The Blackberry's can be configured to work via a BES, your scenario, or for use via email from the provider. If the device has been configured for use via the provider, which I have had when they have been shipped out, you are unable to activate them properly. Wipe the handhelds you are having problems with and then retry. If this does not resolve the issue then contact your provider so that the SIM service is set-up for BES not for their mobile service offering.

Hope this makes sense and helps

Thanks for the hint DJ.
In the meantime I received an info from RIM directly. The abbr. mean:

PROsumer and ENTerprise.

The Prosumer devices are Standalone devices and cannot be used at all for the Enterprise System. So it was a wrong delivery.
