I am a new owner of a 8700 and would like to know how to download apps to the bb, like the app 411 search.

There are two ways you can download apps to your BB. 1) Using your Application Loader software on your desktop(BB can with a disk to run) 2) Something called OTA...which stands for Over The Air...meaning via your BB browser.

For Berry 411 you can choose to install using either or. Attached is a link to install via OTA. Send this url to your BB and install from it.
