Unhappy Changed Portrait Keyboard to QWERTY now cannot enter password!

Please Login to Remove!

I'm hoping someone has been through this and can help me out. My BlackBerry Storm locks after a few minutes of inactivity and I have a password to unlock. I recently changed the portrait keyboard layout from SureType to QWERTY and now when I try to unlock the Storm I have a full QWERTY keyboard instead of the 12 key screen that defaulted.

When I set the password the default entry screen looked like a standard phone keypad so I entered it as if I were typing numbers. With the QWERTY keypad I can't figure out what characters I need to enter to unlock the device!

Can anyone tell me what characters display when typing on the Storm password entry keyboard? Are they capitalized?

Any assitance will be appreciatied.

Look at a picture of a BB Pearl. That should tell you the letters. They keyboards are the same (I think).

Tried that ... no go ... the default password entry input isn't the Suretype keypad, it looks more like a standard telephone dial pad.

Downloaded the Storm emulator and figured it out. It is a standard dial-pad and keypresses take the first letter out of 3 or 4 in miniscule.

By any chance are you running .99?

I had a similar issue when I was running .99. I also heard the same complaint from people running the sub .120 hybrids.

Now that I've figured out the keypad mapping it's a moot point. When the phone was locked, however, I could not change from the QWERTY layout ... can't make many changes at all when the phone is locked!
