Reviewing User's Guide would be a good place to start...

Welcome to the forums! (Please watch the language..)

1.) Do you have access to the PIM that generated the document? You will need to install the Desktop manager on your PC, it will then easily synch your contact and calendar from the PIM (OUtlook, etc.).

2.) You really need to get a Media Card (Most of the BB is reserved for what it does best (Email).

3.) Not sure I understand the question. Can you please re-state it?

Good Link to start with:

8100 Series FAQ's - BlackBerryFAQ

Enjoy!

Way to get help..

Did you read the FAQs?

Did you realize that the device only has 64mb TOTAL and you simply can't load pictures onto it. Get a memory card.

Did you read the memory optimization thread?

Good luck..

1 I saved the pim.vol document off of a motorola Q then sold it so the documnet is jsut sitting in a folder and not sure where to go from there to get it to change it with the pim.vol on my new phone if it even has one

I installed and worked with the desktop manager for awhile and didnt find the stuff i was looking for unless it is hidden for weetodds like me

2i have a 512 sd in there should i just keep all the pictures and what not on that?

3in my old phone i could explore the folders on the phone its self the sensitve applications and what not and thats where i would upload stuff to

BTW thanks for ur quick reply

1. That format is not readable by a BlackBerry. Save the PIM information to Outlook or some other PIM and sync it with the BB.

2. Yes.

3. You can't really look at the BB structure. If you want to delete unnecessary themes and applications, see the Optimizing Memory thread.

Do you have access to any sort or PIM? Like Outlook? If so import the PIM.VOL into that and then you can synch to your phone.

Yes, move all pictures and files to the SD. You might want to get a larger one. Make sure that you delete them off the device memory.

Your only folders will really be on the Media Card. You can explore the Media Card via the Media icon on the phone or the Desktop Manager.

Using Desktop Manager. There is a menu item that says "Syncronize". Choose that and follow the prompts, selecting Outlook as the source.

Should be two tabs at the top, "Syncronize" and "configure". Choose the Configure tab. Choose Configure Sync from that page. Your BB will need to be connected to allow you to choose it.
