Default New to Pearl. Help!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello to all. I am new to this forum because I just recently purchased a BB for my wife as well as myself (got the curve). My wife has the Pearl and she would like to change her scroll ball light. I have been looking all over the phone and I can't find out how to change it for the life of me. Please... if anyone can help please let me know what I need to do. Thanks again in advance.

You need to install the application to let you do that, then you can change it using the Options menu.

Options > ColorPearl

Does that mean she has to have the BB data plan?

I don't think so. I installed this program via Desktop Manager... so just being able to hook up your Blackberry to the computer should be good.

I tried that as well and I don't think I did it right. I followed the provided manual and came out more confused than when I started. I'm sorry I know I'm being a pain but like I said I am new to the BB world. I am really greatful for the help.

Ok... First things first. The only Blackberry that this program will work on is the 8100... any other and you're out of luck.

Secondly to install it via PC make sure you have installed the Desktop Manager to said PC.

Then download the zip file in Metfan's sticky. Unzip it to an easily located place. I usually unzip right to my desktop and move it later on.

Open Desktop manager > plug in Blackberry via USB
go to Application Loader > follow prompts >add the program and make sure its checked.

Follow all the prompts and your Blackberry should restart. You should then be able to see it in your options.

Hope this helps and wasn't too confusing. If I have erred in any way... I am pretty sure someone will come along and correct me.

Good luck to you and welcome to the forums!

Contact with the services provider in your country. Unclocked the wireless if necessary
