Default Sim Card Error

Please Login to Remove!

I am now on my 2nd curve 8310 and sim card. The 1st one i got started giving me a Sim Card Error and SOS in the upper right corner. This started happening more and more, they switched the card out, but still a problem. Well, now they have switched the phone and it has worked fine for a week, but this morning I had the same thing, Sim Card Error and SOS. Is anyone else having this issue, or should I take the 2nd Curve back and exchange it?

Thanks..

We have 6 8310 here with no problems at all I would take it back and have them review the setting on your account and make shure they have the right sim card associated to your account it happend here more them once were the sim is not associated with the right account.

Both my phone and my wife's phone had the same issue when we first got it. All we did was shut down, pull the battery out for 30 or so and then put it back in. That might clear up any issues without bringing it back.

Let me know if it works

make sure the card is seated properly and the latch is locked into place (must hear a click)

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I have had this problem a few times. It only happens during calls though for me. I usually just power it down and then on. Takes all of 30 seconds. Battery pull would take forever. I'd switch mine out, but after reading this thread it looks like it won't matter plus I'm lazy

This happened to me for a bit and I wasn't sliding the little metal latch all the way to the locked position. It would be my guess as the culprit.

this has been happening once every couple days on my 8320 since I got it. I finally changed the sim card out last week and the problem hasn't come back since. I am hoping it was just an issue with the SIM card.

This has been happening to me for the past week. At least once a day I look down and its displaying SIM CARD ERROR. Usually removing/installing the sim/battery fixes the problem, but I wonder why its happening at all...I may have to visit the store and get a new sim.
