Hi, i've had my phone for about 4 months and have only just realised that the media card that came with the phone hasn't been active this whole time. As I haven't tried to record videos or put music on my blackberry but I've just installed the phone onto my laptop for the first time and now want to put some media on it.
I've tried a battery pull, removing the SD card while its on, upgrading software on my pc, formatting it via my PC (PC won't read it either) I also have my old SD card from my old phone which doesn't read either. Anyone know how to fix this?
I can't click format as I have the new blackberry software and I cant format the card if the phone can't find it

oh now the computer does read it, but i cant format the card because it is "write protected" the card that came with the blackberry shows up on my computer as "Blackberry User Tools (E"

They are both being read by the computer but the 2gb one that came with the Blackberry is coming up as a "Blackberry User Tools" and can't be formatted on the pc because it is "write protected". The 8gb one from my last phone is now showing up on the pc as I managed to format it on my old phone, and trying to format it on the pc doesn't work as that one is also "write protected", This one also doesn't show up on the Blackberry, And yes i have tried a battery pull in every single combination you can think of.
(2GB MicroSD card and 8GB MicroSD card, using a SanDisk Adapter to convert onto the computer)
Does anyone have any other idea's as I'm still getting "A media card is not presently inserted in the device" show up for both cards, thanks alot.
