Try Options -> Screen/Keyboard -> and scroll to the botton to turn Key Tone off.

Doesn't remove the dialling sounds from the phone app ... From what I can tell, the only way to dial without the beeping sounds is to use an addressbook entry.

This also irritates me.. I contacted my VZW Rep who sent me along a number for direct support w/ RIM. I'll call them tomorrow and post the results.

This has been discussed in other forums quite extensively. There is no way to disable the tones when phone dialing.
