UMA and Bluetooth Issue
Please Login to Remove!
I just got a 8900 and the t-mobile branded DLINK router. I also have my motorola h15 bluetooth headset paired with the phone. When the phone is making a call using the h15 and is in UMA mode the bluetooth is useless. as soon as the call connects i cannot hear anything in the headset it is all garbled. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks in advance!!

Maybe an OS update will help in your case.

When bluetooth is enabled on my 8900 (even if not connected to my Jabra BT5020 headset and if headset is OFF), I can't connect to my home WiFi.. At my office - I can connect to WiFi with bluetooth enabled, but UMA won't turn on.
As soon as Bluetooth is DISABLED or if I try and connect with Bluetooth diabled - everything works perfectly at home and office. WiFi springs to life and UMA works.
If I delete the pairing with my headset, everything works perfectly as well.
I thought it was a hardware issue, so Rogers sent me a new phone - same problem.
I have replicated the bug in .94 and .133..
This bug is bugging me!

Odd, bluetooth and UMA calling was one of the first things I checked when I powered up my 8900. Worked fine on .133 and currently with .144 I have no problems.
I've got a cheapie headset ($50 Dynex from BBY) and it works just fine, so did my Jabra and Motorola headsets while on a UMA call.
I had all kinds of trouble with my 8320, so this was a sensitive topic for me and I checked it out. At home I am using a T-Mobile @Home router for UMA connections on blackberries only, but before was using a Linksys 300N with dd-WRT running on it. Both of those routers have performed perfectly with it thus far.
What are the wireless settings? Channel, type of encryption, etc would be helpful. I have my T-Mobile router set to channel 1, and I seem to remember trouble with 3 or 4 for some reason.......

I have the exact same problem with Bluetooth (Motorola H15) + UMA/WiFi:
-- If UMA is on at start of call, incoming or outgoing, the call is garbled or there is no sound at all until H15 is turned off (then the caller can be heard on speakerphone/handset)
-- H15 works fine when the phone is on EDGE or if UMA pops in later
-- H15 works fine with my other phones, worked fine with my 8320
-- Happens anywhere, not just at home, so is not a specific router problem
-- I am on .199 already, and the problem has actually gotten worse with this release (sorry to bust any bubbles!)
-- I am confident it will be resolved at some point!
Anybody found any other info? Thanks!

i have a similar problem with Bluetooth/Wifi conflicts
when the phone is on UMA, and I'm on a call using the BT (plantronics 650? headset), it drops the call after a few minutes, it disconnects the BT headset, and disconnects from the Wifi completely. Only EDGE will work after that, and the phone can't communicate with the BT any longer. Battery pull fixes the problem, but it is a pain to be turning the WiFi off (I dont remember to do so half the time)

I also had the MOTO H15 and was experiencing the same problems. I tried out different BT headsets and most worked fine except the MOTO H15. I'm using the jawbone 2 now with no problems. Could it just be the MOTO H15 doesn't like UMA phone calls? Running .206 on my phone.

I just got the 8900 with Tmo and after reading this thread, I realize I am having the same issues. I thought it was a problem with just the UMA but now I realize that it only happens when I use the H15 with UMA.
I have no solution, other than to not use UMA. Let's hope we have a resolution soon.
