Default Will Sprint Also get an launch device?

Please Login to Remove!

AT&T - Bold
TMobile - Kickstart
VZW - Thunder

is it inevitable that in an ideal-like world Sprint will also be graced with one of the devices that have been floating around?

good point (and joke)

i guess the question is will they get a qwerty device since it seems AT&T will get the Bold first but followed closely by T-Mobile (and Rogers). VZ appears to have an exclusive on the Thunder.

Does that mean that Sprint can't get a tweaked version of the Thunder (Lighting? - couldn't resist) or get a suretype device though I haven't seen one mentioned and with the pearl and curve very close in size and girth why bother.

Sprint isn't doing very well now a days. Verizon had to promise RIM a certain number of unit sales to maintain the exclusivity of the Thunder, otherwise it will be made available to other carriers. Given that, I doubt Sprint would ever be able to put up enough sales to warrant either a first launch device or exclusive. The 8330 does not count as all the CDMA carriers had the device at the same time. Sprint was just able to get theirs out the door before Verizon.

Actually, Verizon launched the 8130 first. Sprint hasn't launched any of their blackberries before Verizon has. We thought they'd launch the 8330 a month before Verizon, but that didn't happen either.

Why do you all keep saying that? Verizon was selling their 8330 officially before Sprint was.

Look at the 2 dates on which the devices for each carrier were actually released and available.
