Does your device say EDGE or edge? Your profile says 8320 and AT&T but AT&T doesn't offer the 8320. Are you on AT&T with an 8310 or did you buy an 8320 and unlock it for use with AT&T?

Did you change your BIS account over to the new device, new PIN and new IMEI?

Where can I log into my BIS account? - BlackBerryFAQ.com

Go there, log in and look for the Change Device link.

GSM means no data. You need EDGE. Pull the battery out and put it back in (do it while it's turned on.)

If it doesn't go to EDGE then call AT&T and find out if your data plan is fully provisioned properly.

If you have the BB Data Plan with your previous BlackBerry, it is likely you had a BIS account, where you setup your email accounts to push to your BB.

BIS isn't an accout. Its how your bb accesses stuff. You use bis is its a personal bb and bes if its a company bb.

well, you can call it "how it accesses stuff" and I will call it a "BIS account".

Mine is a company BB and is BIS. And I know some people with personally owned BlackBerrys on BES. While your description is routine, it is not in fact always true.

It can take a couple of minutes for the device to reboot. Not usually 5 minutes, though.
