I have had my Blackberry 7290 for almost a year now and lately I have been having some problems regarding the phone. Lately it is has been constantly resetting and my phone takes about five minutes to bootup again. I was wondering if anyone else had either of these problems and if so if there was a fix to this.

I am looking to upgrade to the 8700 soon, but I want this to last me at least another six months untol the 8700 drops in price and I don't want this problem to be the reason I switch so maybe there is a quick fix for this. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe a recent app that was installed. Check your memory under options, status to see if it is constantly decreasing before the reboot.

You may need to wipe the handheld and restore the bb os.

Ok well I have read up on this a little bit more since you suggsted that and saw that people had problems with Ramble so I just used the GoogleTalk workaround and uninstalled Ramble. Hopefully that will work.

I'm considering going back to the 7290. In general, without 3rd party apps, has the 7290 been pretty stable?

I have used the 7290 with os 4.0 and 4.1 with 3rd party apps and have not had issues.
