Default Does the Tour Work with Ford Sync?

Please Login to Remove!

My 8830 works very well with my new car and I wonder if you of you have had luck connecting a Tour with the Ford Sync system? I am considering replacing the old girl but would rather wait until I know the Tour will work with Sync.

Yes I am still alive (if any one cares?) but have been busy with family issues since March.

Wirelessly posted

I had the Sync added by ford to my merc mountaineer, it works very well together. I don't use the extent of the sync capability, like uploading phone books etc, but the tour connects via BT easily. Once in a while (very infrequently) ill get in the car and the BT hasn't automatically connected, but that is easily corrected.

Hi Tboltram, glad to see you are still kicking. Hope things settle down for you soon.

I've tested other BB models with Sync but not the Tour. (no access to a Ford w/Sync) I just checked the Sync website, and the Tour is not listed as a tested device.

For reference, the Sync system should be the same whether its Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln. I've used the Curve and Tour with Sync with no problems.
