Default Activation Problem - Professional 4.1.4.15

Please Login to Remove!

I have a blackberry that was activated for a user and the user is no longer with us so I deleted the user and then wiped the blackberry. Now when I try to activate this device for another user the activation just sits there and times out.

I ran the IEMSTest.exe utility and I get the results below...everything looks good.

USERNAME Mailbox opened successfully.
Root Folder opened successfully.
Folder created successfully.
Test folder deleted successfully.
Test completed successfully for USERNAME.

When I look at the Event logs for Application I get three Blackberry Warnings and one informational

Warnings...
1. OpenRootFolder - Mailbox::m_pMDB->OpenEntry (0x80004005) failed
2. {username@help.com} MAPIMailbox::Construct - Open Root Folder failed
3. User USERNAME not started

Informational..
1 user(s) failed to initialize

Can anyone help solve this issue?

Thanks!

Default Fix Found

I am not sure why but I had to rerun the command below in the powershell to get this user to activate on this phone. I already have users
in this same Storage Group and the same Mailbox DB working with enterprise activation.

Get-MailboxDatabase -identity "Mailbox1" | Add-ADPermission -user PSExchangeAdmin -ExtendedRights Receive-As, Send-As

FYI - PSExchangeAdmin - This a security group that has been setup with the correct members to run BES.

Has anyone experienced this?

Have you tried running handheldcleanup.exe? Maybe that Pin is still associated with a MAPI profile still.

Either that, or the BES server does not have access to the users mailbox.

have you looked at the security settings for the user in AD U&C (Need to have advanced settings turned on)
