Default Time Change??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi:

I am new to Blackberry and and I do have one concern. I travel a lot and one thing I can't figure out is when I land in a different time zone my phone does not update. I have to go in and change it manually. Is there a way to have this done automatically or a good app for it??

Thanks

Yes, this has been asked many, many, many times.

There is no way to have the BlackBerry automatically change time zones. I am unaware of any app to do this, either.

It's like a watch.

No, there is not (currently) on your device.

When OS 5 becomes available, you will have that automatic time zone update option available.

Watch your calendar though, if you don't enter your appointments in your calendar according to the time zone in which they are to be held, it will get very screwy when you fly from NYC to LA and all of your appointments are three hours off.

Wirelessly posted (8820)

Another point: if you change your time zone on the blackberry, remember to change it back before sync'ing with Outlook or whatever on the computer. Or, at least make sure the blackberry and the computer are set to same time zone before sync'ing.

Worldmate will ask you if you want to change the time when you land in a different time zone and it does change, but I think it fails to change the time zone and so the clock reverts each night.
