Please Login to Remove!

shoulplanning on signing a contract for 3 years and getting a bb bold 9700. Should I go with bell or rogers? rbell is selling for$70 cheaper, i also heard that rogers bb 9700 has wifi issues.
I currently use bb 8900 and was wondering if I would be able to transfer my data to the new 5.0 os?

Pick the carrier based on coverage. Find the one that has the coverage where you need it - where you live, work, travel and play. Talk to friends, coworkers family, etc and find out what works for them. Then make you choice. then you pick the device.

If you use the Switch Device Wizard, everything "should" transfer. Make a backup just in cast. Contacts, calendar, etc. will still sync with Outlook if you use that.

I'm with Bell and find it quite satisfactory, but I can't tell you if it's better than or inferior to Rogers.

DO MAKE A BACKUP! I did the Switch Device Wizard and there were significant gaps in the transfer of Contacts. If you use the Password keeper, WRITE the data down on paper, and re-enter them manually.

I don't know about Bell but Rogers does disable UMA. I have a Rogers 9700. Mine had a physical defect, got it replaced this weekend and am immensely happy as the keypad feels better and the vibe is stronger.
