Default tmobile bb curve 8520 can i change my @tmo.blackberry.net email?

I was just curious if I can change the email I chose when I got the phone. I really don't like the one I picked and never evn gave it to anybody. Do I need to call support or is it something I can do myself?

Yes you can
You have to call TMO and ask then to delete your old tmo.blackberry.net email
and then to setup new one

No you don't.
Log in to the BIS page.
You can delete that email, and setup a new one.
Simple.

Many of us here do not recommend using the carrier supplied email address for the following reasons:

1. It is totally unfiltered so if it gets out and is "harvested", you will get more SPAM that you care to have with no way to filter it to a SPAM file.

2. You cannot that the address with you when and if you change carriers. Once you cancel the BIS account, it is gone.

3. The only way to read email to that account is on the BB itself. So in the event of a data outage (and they do occur from time to time) you cannot send or receive email at all.

same question I had. Just got the 9700 and wanted to set up a blackberry e-mail addy.

The search button works wonders. If only there was a search button for life.
