Hi I'm a new BB user or will be next week I'm getting a 9650 with Sprint and was wondering about the plans do I need anything other that the 450 data plan in order to access my pop email accounts I'm confused about the additional 20.00 charge for emails.

The $20 would appear to be for BES.
If you are going to be using it only for personal use and not connected toa BES through your work; then you don't need it.

You need an Everything Data Plan (individual or family) or a Simply Everything Plan (individual or family). Both of those plans include all messaging (even SMS - often that's a separate add-on with other carriers) and unlimited BlackBerry services. The Simply Everything Plan is the unlimited minutes version of the ED Plan. You cannot activate a BlackBerry on Sprint without one of these plans.

i have the 450 data 4 $70/mo,,, works great 4 me,,, all cell 2 cell calls don't use minutes,,, make sure u get all the nice add-ons,,, if u negotiate w/ them u'll get 'em 4 nothing,,, america roam is very handy,,, no charges 4 text or roam anywhere,,, u wiil have 2 pay 4 data in roam tho unless u have wifi & find a hotspot...

Good point. The ED plans all include Any Mobile Anytime, so if you call cell-to-cell a lot, this plan virtually extends your monthly minutes.

Ask about getting a $10/month recurring credit as they sometimes will throw that in just for asking. Also check the discount for your employer or your school. There's a discount (10% ?) for belonging to any credit union.
