I got emails last night and this morning on my 7250, but still no internet as of 4:21 PST.

Why did the email come through when web is not working? Did I just hit an time when the system was up and are these functions (Email vs. Web) sent through different systems?

Phone works fine.

I am new to VZW and was wondering if I have unlimited BB do I get charged extra for any data services on my 7250?

OK, I've got an update and this time it's good. I spent another 10 or 15 minutes on the phone with tech support and they told me to delete both of the service books labeled "Desktop" and then to synch again with my desktop (I'm not using BES). They seemed to think that when RIM was doing their server maintenance that sometimes the service books get goofed. Well since I only live 5 minutes from work and hadn't been out of the house all day, I figured I might as well give it a try. I updated the books and did a soft reset and I seem to be back in business (I'm keeping my fingers crosses b/c this happened earlier today). I've sent a few emails and received a few also. This seems to have fixed the internet connectivity problem also.

Rexmarx003--I had the same thing happen to me late yesterday and then again earlier today. That led me to believe it was fixed. Give the service book thing a try.

Don't let Verizon misslead you, this is not a RIM issue, this is soley Verizon and is due to something they tried to push this weekend that they either aren't talking about or noone at the levels we can get to knows. Still working on that though, but above all else do not let them convince you this is RIMs fault.

I agree this does not appear to be a RIM issue, considering none of the other wireless carries seems to be affected this weekend.

And to think I returned a Cingular BB 7290 for a VZW BB 7250. It seems that Verizon Wireless is clueless when it comes to wireless data.

They "Verizon" just as all of them give that impression because of the "front line" people. There are people there that definately know what they are doing but they don't tell anyone because they wouldn't understand, and would probably release too much info to the public. However for instances like these they could have saved themselves much trouble had they sent a global notify to all that there were/are issues.

Sadly the "support" people you normally talk to have no idea, if you can talk on it then it must be working.

The verizon wireless blackberry servers appear to be working.

Is everyone up and running?

I hope it stays up!

I had not used my mostly charged 7250 from late Friday till Saturday night. When I picked it up I was dismayed to see that my battery had completely discharged in a 24 hour period.

Could this drain be connected to the Verizon outage that you've all been describing, or do I have bigger battery issue to worry about??

Battery life is sub-prime in my limited experience so far. I know I should keep the Bluetooth off unless I'm expecting to use it (like with the HandsFree Link in the car) but I'm on conference calls all day and seems like I need to keep my BB plugged in very frequently to avoid shut down from power loss.
