Fana, you need to ask the previous owner to ask Tmobile to remove the PIN from his account, or they will do it for you IF you ask nicely. They don't have to do it for you.

If the previous owner doesn't get it down, return the BlackBerry to the seller and demand your $$s back for a useless device.

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

I will be shocked if the carrier assisted. As mentioned above, work through the seller or enjoy your device which can serve merely as a paper weight.

I wouldn't be surprised, there are countless threads here where the carrier does so, when understood the user bought the device used.

If this is your device and you moved to a new carrier, call your previous carrier and cancel your BIS account. Thi swill release the IMEI and PIN so you can use it on the new carrier.

If used, call the seller and have him/her do it. If they cannot or do not, call your carrier and ask nicely. Explain the situation and see if they will help. Some will, some will not.

Hi,

Every carrier has a BIS Admin tool where all the PIN/IMEI are registered. If so, that particular device will not be registered on any other network.

A simple phone call asking the previous carrier to delete the account attached to your PIN should do the trick.

Also, I have had experience with carriers being VERY uncooperative :p

Good luck !

It is considered bad manners to hijack another's thread.

To get Internet, email and connect to other RIM services, you must have a BB data plan. Contact your cell carrier and have them add it.
