The announcement date does not surprise me.
T-mobile is announcing their new Google OS phone right now and it is up for pre-sale. Phone does not have a concreate release date. They just want to get the market ready for the device.
It all started with the whole iPhone phase..

And he should know because he is... um... well, I don't know who torberry is, but he sounds no less reputable than anyone else that claims to have inside knowledge. So there. Seriously though, I was told by same guy on Teddy's Team that was dead on about the release of the 8900 1 year ago. That came out rather quickly too as you may recall.
