Default Temporary Disabling an email account... during vacations

Please Login to Remove!

I wish to "disable" receiving mails from my business email account during my one week vacations, without disabling data (I still want my BBM and personal mails to work), and was wondering how otehrs ar eproceding in such cases.

The options I can see:

1 Delete the account and recreate it after the vacations. -- Rejected. I do not wish to do this, this would be quite long, due to the many filters I have.

2 Choose "Do not forward messages to device When no filters apply" from my BIS management screen, and modifiy my other filters from "forward" to "do not forward"

3 Delete the service book for this account on my terminal (Options/ Advanced/ Service Book, [CMIME]), would this do the trick, and then all I have to do to resume receiving mails is to resend the service books?

4 Any other ideas?

I would love to be able to "enable/disable" from my terminal, so that, why not, disable the account all day, and then check mails once a day from the terminal...

I am on BIS...

Thanks

I don't see where I could do this. Attached is a picture of my BIS management screen. Although I know all is managed and provided by RIM, and not the carrier, we may not all have the absolute same functionalities.

I can edit, manage filters and delete an account. I cannot "uncheck" it. The check mark on the left indicates if account is valid. You cannot tick this on or off.

Go to edit on the account/s you want to stop.
where it says "forward to handheld" (not sure which tab) uncheck it.

Yeah. It is option 2 that I presented in my original mail. Seems to be the most workable option (especially if you do not have many filters).
