Just a comment on the 7100 pit fall

The new phones like the 7105T have Super Bright mode making it wonderful in bright light. I am not sure if the 8700 or the 7130e will have the Super Bright mode, I did not check that out when I saw them.

Will the 7100i have the same advantage? Or, is the screen the same as the earlier 7100 models? (I suspect the latter, but I hope I'm wrong.)

i'm sure that a phone that is coming out now, which will be after the point in time where they addressed the screen issues on previous models, thus meaning its probably just now going into mass production, will have the benefits of the new screen and lighting technology. just a hunch, which i'm sure is 100% correct.

Yes all new phones should have the the new tech in them. Its not likely that BlackBerry will go backward and use the older screens.

Good to hear. Now I just wish I could get some physical specs on the 7100i (size, weight). Damn FCC documentation left it out. ;)
