There are nice little improvements and the members of this forum figured out how to do it and passed the word along which is cool. The Zen theme was the driver and everything else was a bonus.

Give it time and also check out the Zen theme. You will find little things that make it a nice upgrade, nobody said it was going to do your laundry for you.

By the way, I think my phone audio is better after the upgrade but it is a subjective thing.

I was going to return the 8700c if it wasn't for Bharti. The bug where the ringer volume was the same as the last used speakephone volume was a dealbreaker for me. I need the ringer to be the loudest possible to even have a chance to wake me out of a sound sleep, and I couldn't be bothered to remember to crank up the speakerphone volume on the rare occasions that I used it.

The Zen theme is nice, but I still use the Cingular theme. The extension lag wasn't too annoying, but it's nice to have it be real time now. As others have said, there are some bonuses in there, but the above bug was the reason for me.

Now comes the obvious question...how come Cingular hasn't released an update, and when is BIS2 coming?

Is the lastest T-Mobile handset OS similar to Bharti?

I know that someone said recently that
you do not need Bharti to unlock the zen
theme on the 8700g.

What does it do for the 8700g?

T-Mo has the .284 installed out of the box. You do need to "unlock" The Zen theme on it though.

Check out http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...install+bharti and look at the ATTN in step 1 to start the unlocking procedure.
