My phone has started going to 100% while charging through the wall, also I noticed that once fully charged the lightning symbol disappears, something that didn't happen before, I am happy now with the way the charging works

Default Charge while on...

Just an update for those who might be interested...

My phone also charges to 100% through the wall or the USB now. The main difference is that I charge with the BB powered on.

I ran a little test. When I charge with the BB powered off, I go to 95%. If I do get to 100%, it stays thee for only about a minute. If I charge with the BB powered on, I get to 100%, and it stays there quite a bit longer.

When I first recieved the phone, I charged while powered off (thought that would be the best way to condition the battery). Now that I'm in "normal" use, I charge with BB powered on, and always get to 100% regardless of how I charge.

I have the 8703e from VZW and had the same problem where the battery will only charge to 95% using the wall charger and seemed to drain pretty quickly. Since I was in the 15-day return I exchanged it out for a new one and had the same problem. I went through 3 BB's in the 15-day period and always had the same problem. In the end it just wasn't worth the hassle and I really have not had any problems in the 2 months I have had it. I just wouldn't worry about it because it seems to just be the way this unit charges.

it's not just the 8703e that does this, when i had a 7520 through nextel my battery only charged to 95% (somtimes only 90%) and my 8700c seemd to do it at times too, just a flaw with the battery or device, but as stated before, the device is too awesome to get rid of because of this minor flaw

I think the battery retains charge better as it has been through a few drain and charge cycles, usually over a month or so this problem sorts itself out.
