Dell Streak
Please Login to Remove!
hey guys just wanted to give a little review about the dell streak i have been playing with mine for about 2 weeks . the dell streak is an overgrown iPhone on roids running android OS . lol lets talk about usability:
Email app- the email app is pretty good i can attach file and and download them and the android OS can pretty much open any file , i have tested word excel and PDF files.
Battery Life- the battery will last about a full day of some heavy load of work . i am on the AT&T 3G network .
OS version- i have to admit the 1.6 os is not the best but over all it does a good job since playing with 2.1 and 2.2 on other phones you can say i got spoiled. the one issue i have with the streak is the keyboard layout it just down right sucks. if your going to do some serious typing then you might have a slight issue with the on-screen keyboard.
Front cam - i tested it out using Fring on the wifi net work and over 3g network and it worked great . i have a friend on the EVO and he is on the 4g network .
5meg cam- it takes some great pics one little issue is that the flash is not that strong . the torch and the 9700 are better. even my Nokia E90 flash is better.
Phone call sound-- the sound is loud and clear no issues at all . the speaker phone is also loud .
Over all the dell streak has some growing up to do via some OS upgrades once the OS upgrades are made i feel that the Dell streak will be a great phone for a person who wants to make a change to the android phone . i think i will be keeping it and using it on the weekends untill they make an OS upgrade for it . during the work week i am on my blackberry.

Wow! This is one of the most unreadable posts I've seen in a long time. Have you ever heard of punctuation, spelling, grammar, stylistics, or a decent camera? I'd be very interested in reading a thorough review of the Streak from a non-Android Fanboy, but you truly screwed the pooch here.
On that note, what exactly is a THC Fuze? Is that a KIRF device made from hashish or something?

first of all DC/DC what the hell makes you think i am a android fanboy. i was trying to give a little review of the dell streak from a user view not one of those BS sites that talk about it and how good or bad a device is. also being that its a forum i did not think it had to be so formal , and trust me i am a serious blackberry user coming from 8700,8300,8800,9530,9500,9520 and current the 9800.

Android 1.6 says enough for me. I will stick to the EVO running 2.2. In fact, other than a .7 inch bigger screen, I don't see any advantages it has over the EVO. Evo runs on 3G and 4G, has a front facing camera and an 8MP camera on the back, runs 2.2, the list goes on.

i have to agree with you on that one; the evo i feel is a much better phone then the dell streak just by haveing an updated system alone . the cam on the evo is better and so is the flash . the one thing i liked about the streak was the size its right between the tablet and a pda phone. the 5inch screen hit a sweet spot for me . as far as the network there is not much we can do about that . if there was evo that would work on att 3g network i might consider it.

Re-read. I didn't call you an Android fanboy.
