Default Fortte Case Question

Please Login to Remove!

Just received my 8700 vertical case. Very high quality and certainly recommend it. However, I do not clip my 8700 on my belt as such, I would like to remove the metal bracket that is in the back of the unit to hold the belt clip. Has anyone tried removing this? Will that impact ability to turn the unti off - not sure where that magnet is. Thanks

They do give you the option of getting a case with or without a clip, I suggest getting in contact with Fortte and maybe doing an exchange for a new one.

I don't see how you can remove it without damaging the case.

Never mind. They told me it was $25 in error. It is actually $15.

I dont' recall an option without the belt case. It just says it's removable.

I would think you can remove the stiching and the metal stub can be removed. you just need a sharp razor to cut the stiching.

The vertical case doesn't have the option for no belt clip.

I don't particularly like the flap on it but it looks like a nice case. Maybe they'll have one without the flap.

Still have to pull it out and expose it to the elements to use though. With my butterfingers I think I really need more of an enclosed case that stays on all the time. I ordered this one in black: http://www.senacases.com/cart/home.php?cat=387

This is what we need with the Rachet back for the, clip it will be better than the Fortte case I have now.

If the Fortte case had the Rachet clip they would have one of the best made cases out.
