Have a small problem with tethering on my BB 8330 (Verizon). Ever since I connected via Bluetooth on my HP Compaq 6510b, I can't tether with just a straight desktop connection. I have to connect with bluetooth even though I'm connected through USB.

Odd thing is, my BB is recognized by the desktop manager, and I can see my PIN.

Any suggestions?

I had this happen to me as well, but I don't REALLY remember exactly what I did to fix it. I THINK it involved disabling the BT and stepping through the Options::Run wizard.. thing from within the VZAccess client program again.

Thanks for the answer, do you actually use VZAccess client to connect? I connect through dialup, but I've always thought you could get away with it as long as you have the proper drivers and blackberry desktop running in the background.

Yup, I use the VZAccess Manager. I know it's possible to tether without it but the VZA-M doesn't take up space I need and does the job. The tech support people at VZW tend to expect it as well. Saves a couple of diagnostic steps that way, and I don't fumble with it.

Did you try the VZAccess Manager wizard? In what manner did it fail?
