Default "stolen" bb issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
I have the following issue:
My parents recently bought me a new BB bold 9700 in China in a genuine shop.
I live in Bulgaria and as soon as I got the BB I went to the local carrier and activated the BB plan, but the BBM won't work (requests stay on pending, and my friends don't recieve the request, neither I do recieve theirs), so I called my customer service and I explained my problem. After they asked me for the pin, according to the consultant this PIN appears to be reported as stolen!?
I am able to use the BB as an ordinary phone, but when it comes to BBM or for example the BB facebook application or maps it won't work, saying that my current plan is not supporting the application. I confirmed multiple times that my blackberry plan is active.
I also have all documents proving that my parents bought the BB!!
My question is what do I do now?

Thank you in advance

Have your parents get their money back. Obviously, the "shop" isn't actually "genuine".

I'd love to, but they don't live there, they went there on a business trip :(

Any chance of calling the genuine shop and asking about the problem? If they are truly a legitimate shop they will work with you. If you get no response or they seem uncooperative you have your answer on the genuine issue. The best thing if they wont replace it is to but one from a local carrier. I also hate to tell you this but a lot of Blackberryxxx8217;s have been sold from china but are fakes. The PIN number may just be a phony

Most likely a fake. Chinese knockoff do not have a working/real PIN and therefore cannot receive any BB services such as BBM, email, etc. What you have is a phone and not much else.
