Default Help: Trackball Pictures

Please Login to Remove!

I was attempting to clean my trackball, and now I have not been able to figure out how to properly place everything together...

Can you please help me by taking some pictures of your trackball so I can see which pieces fit where?

To do this, take a small small flat screwdriver, or a knife and pop out the chrome ring above the 2. There is a small place you can place the edge and it pops the cover off. Your trackball is now a "all in one" piece, which you can pull it and out freely. NOTE: This does not expose the ball itself, it is still a component.

Can you take some pictures of this? Bottom/side/top ?

Thanks

i didnt know that you are supposed to take anything apart. my trackball was stuck yesterday, i got a piece of lint in there. i just pushed on the ball hard and rolled it around, digging into the ball with my fingernail to force it to roll. after working it for a minute it free'd up.

In the future (once it's all back and working) you might want to just use one of them low pressure air cans that people use on PC's to clean it

Please please please!!

When you pop it out of the pearl, it is all attached as one. It simply sits in there under the chrome ring. I had to un-hinge the metal brackets.

I don't think anyone is going to help you with this. You might want to look up those members who posted the pics of the Pearl disassembled and PM one of them for some help. [See the sticky above].

You might also want to PM member "Krad"

Seems to me he said he takes his Pearl apart to clean it. Or as I recall he has said he has taken his apart at times.

Either that or someone else said it, recently. I think it's in the thread discussing cleaning the Pearl.
