I was a very happy Nextel subscriber until Sprint came along. They were courteous, very willing to help with any problem I had, and appreciative of having us as customers. Within a few months of the acquisition the customer service nosedived and all they seemed to want to do was renew contracts in exchange for anything that might be asked. For example, I bought a new 8830 to replace my 7100i. The so-called CSR at Sprint (not "Sprint together with Nextel" as they initially called it) insisted that I had to sign a new two-year contract at a higher rate in order to use the new phone. Since my old contract had expired I sold that phone, got an 8800, and switched to ATT. I have not regretted it in any way.
i thought sprint would be coming back strong with the everything for 99 deal...but i dont like any of their phones besides bbs so them potentially getting bought out doesnt really bother me
because sprint is run by a bunch of lazy idiotic retards and their CS sux. The only reason why they are still afloat is because they rent ther airspace out to mnvos like virgin and helio an qworst wireless. Even then they are still 30 mill in the reds.
haha that made me chuckle yeah they're pretty lazy
T-Mo take over Sprint would be no big deal. Ma Bell taking over t-Mo would be more of a something that could happen. 2 wireless carriers in the US. Watch out Ma Bell is back bigger and better then before. Just my opinion...
T-Mobile I think would be looking to by Nextel's portion of Sprint giving Sprint enough money to keep building out WiMax. I'm sure I read that Nextel is using 800mHz that must be vacated and Sprint was given 2100mHz by the government as a trade. So, it doesn't matter much what technology is used by Nextel at this point as it will need to be build out new anyway.
